The December meeting was really exciting!
Announcements:
We announced a new Monthly and Annual drawing for members of the Counts of Conjuring.
Monthly Drawing: Each month, at the end of our meetings, we will have a drawing. We will pick names from among the attending (and participating) members that night. One prize will be given away. The prize may be a magic effect, book, or video.
Annual Drawing: Each member's name will be entered into an annual drawing that will be held at the beginning of each year. Each time you attend a meeting your name will be entered into the annual drawing. That means if you attend all 11 meetings (no meeting in July - I think) then you will have 11 entries in the January drawing. The prize for the annual drawing is unknown right now BUT it will be worth more than the value of the monthly prizes. So this January 2010 will be our first annual drawing. Those who are present for the Dec. meeting and Jan. meeting will have two entries in the annual drawing.
Taolu Exercise:
We reviewed and practiced what we learned so far. Then the members learned how to perform the OK vanish. Lastly they were shown the classic sponge ball routine - The Ten Count.
Show Us What You Got:
Several of our member demonstrated their skill by "Showing What They Got"!
We invite all boys and girls from ages 7 to 17 to visit our magical group. We welcome young people of all skill levels to come and be a part of this exciting new group of young magicians. You may request membership to the Counts of Conjuring either by sending an email to eddierush [AT] gmail [DOT] com or attending our next meeting on Dec. 2nd @ 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you next month.
